Hey NV Navy! So I have decided to go on a juice cleanse every other day, while also cutting alcohol and sugar out of my diet or food intake. I tried juicing before, and actually noticed weight loss results. I am not much of a gym person, and honestly I think I just need to cut sugar out of my eating and go for walks. I am not even going to pretend like I will go to the gym because I just will not.
I found two simple juicing recipes for people who want to lose weight. I started the juice cleanse today with the Green Juice Monster (that is what I like to call it lol). So basically I will post the recipes this week, as well as keep the Navy updated on my progress. I am getting older, so I feel like I need to start taking better care of myself (it is never too late). That actual brings me to my next point, I have decided to start a night time skin regime. Once all of my products have been delivered, I will post about that as well!
3 large cucumbers
1 bag of carrots (usually has roughly 10 in the bag)
1 bag of organic kale (you might not use the full bag which is great because that could be your salad for the week!)
1 bag of fresh organic spinach (I actually ran out of it juicing -oh well)
1 big bag of green apples (I used 6 but if you are juicing throughout the week 1 bag is fine)
You can find these jars at your locate Stop & Shop or Target as well as the produce.
(Keep in mind these ingredients were just enough for 4 tall mason jars. I pretty much cut more items as I went along so that I do not waste food)
While juicing every other day, the only thing I am going to consume will be kale for a salad and some form of protein. Water is also going to be my best friend with apple cider vinegar. Seems like a lot of changes, but I think I will be able to do. Usually people juice the whole day without eating, I am going eat light while juicing. 4 glasses are a good way to go is the jars are tall. Let me know in the comments below if you have your own weight loss journey going on.
